The Melasti / Banjar Kelod property formerly flew as Banyan Tree Ungasan; it is now marketed as Umana Bali LXR with about 72 private-pool villas, Uma Beach House on Melasti Beach, and spa/wellness facilities. About 30-40 minutes from Ngurah Rai depending on traffic. Use it as a multi-night Bukit base, not a room-rate board. Match pickups with a Rute Naya agent.

Morning pickups (often 07:30-08:30 WITA) suit Uluwatu Temple, Melasti, or Pandawa before Bukit roads clog. Avoid 16:00-19:00 on Uluwatu/Melasti corridors when you can. Typical clusters: south cliffs, Uluwatu sunset, Melasti beach club, Jimbaran evening, DPS transfer.

Beach / beach-house access often involves cliff elevation - confirm mobility with an agent. Cross-island agendas (e.g. Uluwatu + Lempuyang) usually need a split stay.

From Ngurah Rai Airport about 30-40 minutes via bypass/toll toward Jimbaran, then the Uluwatu or Melasti corridor into Ungasan, traffic depending. Landmark: Jl. Melasti, Banjar Kelod, near Melasti Beach. Parking on property; ask the driver for the Umana Bali lobby/gate.

Is this still Banyan Tree Ungasan?

No. The same site now operates as Umana Bali, LXR Hotels & Resorts (Hilton). The Banyan Tree name is no longer used here.

Is it a good stay base for private Bukit south days?

Yes when most stops sit around Uluwatu, Melasti, Pandawa, or Jimbaran. Weak if the agenda is mainly Canggu or East Bali.

Cliff or beachfront?

Cliff-top above Melasti; beach/beach-house access exists - not a flat beachfront at the lobby.

What about star class?

Marketed as a 5★ / LXR luxury resort. Confirm facility expectations with an agent if that matters.

Family-friendly?

Generally yes - multi-bedroom villas exist; confirm villa type and cliff mobility with an agent.
