On the east coast of Nusa Penida, about 90 minutes from Buyuk/Toyapakeh harbour. General hours are 07:00-18:00; mornings are quietest with good light. The stairs down are steep (about 5-10 minutes); wear closed shoes. The DTW retribution is IDR 25,000 per adult and IDR 15,000 per child, cashless; foreign visitors also pay the area retribution at the harbour. Bring drinking water because stalls on the beach are scarce. Swells are strong and currents unpredictable - swim only where lifeguards are present or it is clearly safe. Combine with Atuh Beach and Thousand Islands Viewpoint as they are close by. After rain the stairs are slippery; consider skipping.

1. Photograph the cove from the clifftop before descending.

2. Walk the stairs down to the white sand and stroll the shoreline.

3. Get photos with the iconic rock formation at the end of the cove.

4. Head back up to continue to Atuh Beach or the tree house.

5. Respect safety signs; do not swim far from shore.
