AYANA Resort Bali

The 90-hectare estate sits above 1.3 km of cliff-front coastline facing Jimbaran Bay, with 294 rooms and suites. Rock Bar, cut into the cliff, and Kubu Beach, the resort's private white-sand cove reached by an inclinator, are the two main reasons guests stay here. Guests can also use the rest of the AYANA estate, including RIMBA's pools and spa, on the free shuttle loop.

As a base it suits the western Bukit: Pura Luhur Uluwatu, Padang Padang, and the GWK area. The Jimbaran fish-market strip is busiest right after sunset, so keep that to one evening. If your plans reach Ubud or East Bali, consider splitting the stay.

For western Bukit days, leave between 07:30 and 08:30 WITA so you reach Uluwatu ahead of the coach groups. Rock Bar is best in the late afternoon; book early, since outside guests queue for the inclinator too.

The Jalan Uluwatu II and Jalan Raya Uluwatu corridor is heaviest from 16:00 to 19:00, especially in peak season, so avoid that window when coming back from Kuta or Seminyak.

Kubu Beach keeps limited hours and can close when the swell is high, so don't make it your only beach plan.

The free AYANA-RIMBA shuttle runs all day; use it for dinner rather than moving the car.

AYANA sits in the Karang Mas Estate on Jalan Karang Mas Sejahtera, Jimbaran. It is about 12 km from Ngurah Rai airport, usually a 30-minute drive via Jalan Raya Uluwatu II, and longer at rush hour. Taxis and ride-hailing both work, and the resort runs a paid airport transfer. The main lobby is at the end of the estate driveway, with parking in front.
